Dr. Aycock views life as most invigorating when we fully discover and use our unique giftedness. Whether we are children, adolescents or adults, we become most alive when we remove or minimize barriers that mask our talents. Jeff is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). He comes to ANSCC with a rich variety of life experiences that inform his counseling, including service in church leadership, missionary work, government service, the military, and non-profit community service.

Jeff specializes in couples and marriage counseling, men’s issues, trauma, stress management, anxiety, depression, and spiritual concerns. He enjoys working with couples and individuals to uncover the thoughts, behaviors, relational patterns, and personal history that have shaped their current circumstances. Drawing on his training and experience in trauma treatment, Jeff has walked alongside men and women as they process memories related to traumatic events.

Dr. Karen Bisgay specializes in psychotherapy with adults, ages 20-120. Her general approach involves helping people who feel “stuck” in their lives and experience emotional suffering to become more self-confident, peaceful, and better able to reach their goals. Dr. Bisgay teaches her clients to live more in the present moment without judgment and helps them to let go of suffering that they have been holding for years. As a result, clients develop adaptive coping skills, self-acceptance and clarity regarding what is meaningful in their lives. As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Bisgay provides individual and group therapy, mindfulness-based psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, and Brainspotting.

Melody King is trained in traditional therapies as well as alternative/natural options. She has worked with adults, teens/children, and families for several years as an outpatient therapist. Melody advocates thinking “outside the box.” Her belief is that all factors including physical issues contribute to a client’s symptoms and should be considered as part of the treatment plan. Melody has a brain-based perspective in looking at mood, behavior, and personality issues. Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting and Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Melody has found these methods effective to quickly resolve trauma and to provide help for many other issues when talk therapy is not enough. Clients are enabled to think of the disturbing event without experiencing extreme emotional upset.

Melody has been program coordinator of the Family Services Unit and the Diagnostic and Assessment Center at Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries. Melody served as a therapist in a residential psychiatric treatment facility working with severely emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescents and their families.

Melody’s hobbies and leisure activities include spending time with her family, working jigsaw puzzles, working with the youth at her church, and taking trips to the beach. She has been married for more than 44 years, has two married daughters, and is a grandmother.

Josh Mustain, L.P.C., approaches psychotherapy and counseling as a collaboration between himself and those with whom he works. Josh believes that the possibility of actualizing some of the changes that many of us desire in our lives comes from the power that is inherent in the counseling relationship and in the sharing of common goals within that relationship. Josh is a published author, with a publication in Addiction Research and Theory, a journal which aims to discover and elaborate on ways to theoretically and practically approach the problem of addiction. He has held workshops with topics ranging from technology use and its impact on socialization and family, conceptualizing and intervening on substance use disorder, and harassment in the workplace.

Josh resides in Newnan with his young children. He has been a long-time resident in both Fayette and Coweta counties and both of his parents were educators. Josh’s father, a former recording artist, instilled a love of music in Josh, who has been playing guitar for more than 20 years. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and hiking/backpacking.

Gretchen Peacock has more than 30 years of experience in assisting individuals, families and couples at A New Start Counseling Center. She has worked extensively with churches and pastoral staffs in support of the unique issues of spiritual life. She has a long established relationship with Focus on the Family.

She has two young adult children, and a number of dog and cat rescues that have been a part of her family. She loves taking photographs, and believes life is too full of color to see only black and white.
