Jeff is licensed as an Associate Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and is NBCC board certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Jeff enjoys working with clients to discover the thoughts, behavior patterns, and relational history that have led up to their present circumstances. Jeff works primarily from a cognitive-behavioral approach, which simply means that our emotions arise from our thoughts, which result in the way we behave. Jeff is a relationally oriented counselor and believes that we are all seeking connectedness with others. Jeff works with adults and adolescents who are encountering a variety of issues that include stress, anxiety, depression, conflict, and loss. Jeff also works with adults in anger management, coping with stress, unwanted pornography use, grief, and life transitions (i.e. empty nest, mid-life, career, aging parents).

Jeff brings a variety of life experiences to his counseling. He has served in church leadership, missionary life, government service, military, and in non-profit community service. When he’s not writing or reading, Jeff enjoys walks with his wife, time with grandchildren, working out at the gym, hiking, running, and an occasional foreign movie.
